Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 is a powerful rechargeable headlamp that offers a luminous flux of up to 700 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500K) with a range of up to 120 meters and it is also equipped with red LEDs.
The Fenix HM51R headlamp is a limited edition that is based on the Fenix HM50R headlamp and offers a number of improvements. For example, thanks to a cleverly designed control, the headlamp can be turned on both directly into white light and directly into red light. This is a headlamp that could be called "an athlete's dream".
It is powered by one rechargeable battery type RCR123A, which is recharged directly in the flashlight via a USB-C connector, for charging in the car we offer car adapters, alternatively a disposable CR123A lithium battery can be used for power. In addition, there is an indicator LED in the control button, thanks to which you will always know when to recharge the battery.
The tip of the torch is magnetic so it can be easily attached to anything iron.
HM51R has seven different lighting modes that allow you to choose between high performance and long endurance (up to 110 hours). The flashlight is powered by a digitally controlled constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (while they are slowly discharging).
The all-metal construction ensures high resistance, optimal cooling, and at the same time it is fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters under water.
The practicality of the headlamp increases the possibility of removing the light from the head holder and using it as a small flashlight.
The Fenix HM51R headlamp is the ideal companion for a variety of sports activities, trips to nature as well as at home and at work.
All parameters of the flashlight (luminous flux, battery life, water resistance, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Usage
- From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery, which must be removed before first use.
- When the headlamp is turned off, it will turn on to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is off, it will turn on to the last used red light mode with a double quick press of the button.
- The headlamp is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
- If the headlamp is switched on, short presses of the button can cyclically switch power modes in the order of 3 - 30 - 150 - 500 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red - red flashing - red SOS (when turned on to a red light).
- The flashlight has a memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (applies to white and red light).
Battery charge status indication
After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator diode lights up green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it glows red, it is 25-50% charged. Blinking red means less than 25% battery capacity is left. The indication works correctly only with rechargeable RCR123A / 16340 batteries.
Charging
Unfold the rubber cover of the charging connector and plug the included cable into the flashlight (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB adapter into the mains or car (not included in the package). The side button lights up red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
After charging the flashlight, seal the charging connector again with a rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can also be used while charging, but only the lowest white mode will be available.
Low battery warning
If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp automatically switches to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically discharged, the indicator in the button lights up red and flashes every 3 seconds. However, the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is only calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If using a disposable CR123A battery, do not try to charge it in the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings also need to be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it could be for one of the following reasons:
- Battery is low - charge or replace.
- The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back of the lamp is loose - tighten it.
